Reading and quoting

You may read every page, use every calculator and link to anything here, without permission and without charge. When you quote the original text, name Flat Earth Science as the source and keep the quotation in its context — a finding separated from the claim it answers misrepresents both.

The calculations

The methods used here are published science, not property of this site: you are free to run the same calculation, reproduce a figure, or check the working against the sources listed on the reference page. Where a result is reproduced, cite the underlying source rather than this site, so the reader can reach the measurement itself.

Material owned by others

Referenced publications, photographs, datasets and quoted passages stay under their owners’ terms. A link or citation here grants no licence to reproduce that material, and permission for it has to come from whoever owns it.

Acceptable use

Do not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorised access, or send automated traffic that degrades access for other readers. Ordinary crawling that respects robots.txt is welcome.

Changes

These terms may be revised, and the version on this page is the one that applies. Continuing to use the site after a revision means the revised terms apply to that use.
